Tips
Aviation Authority for theoretical part
We suggest choosing Austro Control Aviation Authority from Austria given they allow multi national testing locations, at very flexible dates.
They use recent technology for exams on iPads with instant scores at the end of each exam.
A lot of other national authorities have fixed and reduced calendar dates for exams throughout the year and require you to visit one specific site at the Aviation Authority Country, e.g. Country A allows 2/3 dates per year at the capital of Country A.
Autro Control allows ATOs (Aviation schools) to collaborate with them and create multiple dates throughout the year.
Students can pick any ATO for taking the exam, regardless of being registered with any other ATO for the syllabus.
Question bank recommended
We recommend using a combination of ATPL Questions + Aviation Exam question banks when studying and preparing for the 14 EASA theoretical exams.
ATPL Questions contains an up to date question bank but fewer explanations and user comments.
Aviation Exam is useful for understanding difficult evaluation items based on the detailed explanations available and high number of user comments and feedback.
ATPL Questions is normally used to review things shortly the exams and Aviation Exam is during the preparation and studying phase.
This is a good combination when using Austro Control.
The most appropriate approach when choosing a question bank will depend on the Aviation Authority chosen, as they may use different subsets of the EASA question bank.
Most efficient Aviation Authorities
Austria's Austro Control Aviation Authority and the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) are the most efficient EASA organizations for the having your license issued with.
Therefore we recommend that your EASA Class 1 Medical exam is first held with them so that they become your licence state of issue country, even if you decide to take the theory and do the practical conversion in different EASA member states.
